It is the tendency of these natural fabrics to bleed a little during
the laundering process, so do not leave your valance soaking…
the different colored fabrics may bleed
onto each other if left in contact for any length of time.   
Add a few tablespoons of salt to the water to minimize the bleeding of fabrics.
